A Professor of Diagnostic Radiology with interest in Women and Pediatric Radiology, specialized in Ultrasonography, I am employed in College of Medicine of the University of Lagos and an Honorary Consultant in Lagos University Teaching Hospital. My passion is in training, supervising and mentoring Undergraduate Medical, Dental and Allied Health Science students.
I am also involved in training postgraduate students in Ultrasonics and WACS & NPMCN Resident Doctors, pumping into them all critical mottos of mine - "Whatever is takes" and "Those who must pontificate must never let their hands be caught in the cookie cupboard"- mottos intended to instill diligence, commitment, drive, excellent spirit and sense of loyalty into them.
My passion for training stemmed from the strong desire to increase the number of Radiologists who were less than 50 catering for the needs of Nigeria's mammoth crowd of greater than 200 million people when i joined the Radiology workforce as a Junior Registrar in 1991. The passion's flame is still being fanned by the increasing number of excellent spirited Radiologists who are proving their mettle worldwide.
I have trained thousands of Medical, Dental and Allied Health Students, over 100 postgraduate Medical Physics Students and more than 150 Radiologists.
I am involved in local and international collaborations in research, won grants locally and internationally and a member of many local and international societies.
Currently, serving my Sabbatical Leave in University of Medical Sciences Ondo, is a fulfilment of purpose never to be taken for granted by me. I pray to God that for my period here, He will help me make a positive impact, proving my mettle.
